Seaport Boston, MA | Sunrise Engagement Session

It was a chilly morning as I met up with Grace and Thanh for their sunrise engagement session in Seaport Boston, MA. We met at 4:45 AM, about 45 minutes before the sun started to rise. Being near the water brought a bit of chilly wind which I used to my advantage!

Grace and Thanh have a quiet elegance to them as a couple; Grace brings a subtle, powerful energy while Thanh is more reserved with a quiet presence. They balance each other out so perfectly.

We started their engagement session at Fan Pier Park in the Seaport area of Boston. Grace and Thanh wanted to embody the spirit of Boston in their engagement session, truly highlighting the gorgeous cityscape and its surroundings. When the sun rose, it hit the cityscape so beautifully and gave us the most gorgeous light during their session. One of the benefits of choosing to do your photos at sunrise is the lack of crowds and other people being in your photos; something both Grace and Thanh wanted.

After our photos in Seaport, we made our way to the iconic Boston Public Garden. An outfit change later and the weather on our side, we went around the park and captured moments at some of the iconic spots there: the foot bridge and the willow tree to name a few.

Sunrise might sound extremely early for a photoshoot, but if you’re wanting less crowds and gorgeous lighting plus a photographer who will make the entire process stress-free, I won’t ever turn down a sunrise session :)

Loving the dress and cardigan Grace wore? She got them from Lulu’s!
